Cal, Mattie & Will...& more Will!

I guess you can tell who i like best! (ha ha just kidding). This is the third time I've photographed this family and they are the best. I think Will is the easiest to photograph because he's not quite mobile yet (not to mention those eyes!), but their all freakin' adorable.

If you can't tell by looking at my work, I love baby feet!
Will was learning to climb steps.

snuggles with mom!

nanna & paw had built the grandbabes a playhouse. It was awesome!

Mattie LOVES shoes! She plays in them so often, she walks better in heels than I do!

With three boys of my own, I can testify that boys love their Tonka trucks.

meltdown!

more toes. I just want to eat them up!

i was able to capture something about each one of them and the time in their lives. The great thing about shooting on location is it can be anywhere. They had asked me to come to Nanna's house, which was beautiful and a great surrounding for extremely personal photographs. It tells a story about who they are and how they grow up, which when looking back years later is something you want to remember.

Wilmington Wedding

Although my heart and soul is with childrens photography I have been doing some weddings. These are from Ryan & Whitney's big day recently (see engagement photos at an earlier post). The weather forecast was calling for rain all weekend. The bottom dropped out about 2 hours before the ceremony and then the skies opened up just along enough for us to get through the ceremony & beginning of reception. It drizzled for the rest of the evening, but that didn't stop the celebration. The bride was dancing in the rain. I took 2000+ photos, and there were SOOO many good ones, it was hard to pick just a few to share....

excitement is an understatement for this flower girl who was getting ready to put on her dress!

the groom gave all the groomsman flasks. This was the best man and his gift.

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay! Mister Bluebird's on my shoulder, It's the truth, it's "actch'll" Everything is "satisfactch'll." Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, ...

this young lady caught the bouquet.

Wedding parties always have two sides, the conservative & the party. There is alot of history and friendship b/w the people you choose to stand with you as you say your vows. I like to capture the true relationships for the group photos of wedding parties. Don't worry we do the serious ones too!

Wilmington, NC is a great city! It's has a mystical charm to it.
One of my favorite things about the city is the moss that grows in the trees.
