Work that Mojo!

The mojo and friends gathered at the Garage (a local musical venue) in honor of Kenya's birthday. All musicians were amazing and the celebration was filled with an over flow of love for Kenya and music, which is a big part of her life. There were so many good photographs, I ended up posting bookoos. I'm working on a slideshow project with Kenya, gathering music from each artist in hopes to play their song with their images. I'll hopefully post a link to that soon. I hope you enjoy! {you may remember I took photos of kenya last spring.}

Every one of these artists were incredibly talented, other artist not pictured but should'nt be excluded are: Vaughn Ambrose, Shirazette Tinnin, Charles Brown & Michael Thomas.
I think Charles Brown sang my favorite song, Where I Am, however Becca Stevens is amazing and of course there is no other like Kenya, that voice!

Annie Leibovitz is an inspiration to all photographers. I like her not only because of her visions as a photographer, but because she is so down to earth and amazingly humble about her work.

last night, mother nature pulled one over on us! Even beyond the knowledge of the weatherman, we got unannounced snow! I love suprises, especially when it's snow! Needless to say, I woke this valentines morning with the three boys snuggled up with my husband and I in bed, along with jackson and sonoma (our furry babes), all anticipating the announcement of school closings. As soon as we found out this valentines day was going to be a day off and we were going to be snowed in together, we threw on the layers of clothes and went out to enjoy a snow white valentines! Sonoma loves to eat the snow! A dog we adopted out west when we lived in jackson wy. As soon as he sees the snow in the air he dives for it. He lives for the cold and snow. I look forward to the mornings when I can open the door for him and he can find the white treat to dive into and eat.

I sometimes forget I havent shared the bridal portraits yet by the time the wedding gets here. This bridal session was at Magnolia Manor, a beautiful Victorian, Vintage venue that made magical settings for this bride.
